However, those are not the ones we will approach today. There are <strong>four types of inversions<\/strong> in total.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ec1ad8be9f9300062b779f6f142c09bc wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#053c75\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">There was a time, while preparing for the C2 Proficiency, when I became obsessed with inversions. Little did I know that they were just one of many elements that could refine my language production\u2014or so I would say.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-7e96f56baf72025ff6f72d6d58310dac wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#053c75\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">The simplest one is with <strong>negative adverbs or adverbial expressions<\/strong>. I deem them the simplest, as they tend to be the most readily noticeable and seamlessly integrated into speech and writing.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When to use of inversion occurs<strong> in conditional sentences.<\/strong> In this video, we will focus on first-conditionals, though second- and third-conditionals also employ inversion in certain class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">The final type is triggered by <strong>adverbs of place<\/strong>.<\/mark> <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Even though it is a kind of inversion, grammarians usually call it fronting.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-50074dabcfdad3f6c51d4d2814c35bec wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#053c75\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">When an <strong>adverb of place<\/strong> (e.g., <em>here, there, up, down, out, in, off, away<\/em>) is placed at the beginning of a sentence, <strong>inversion<\/strong> often occurs when the verb is <strong>intransitive<\/strong> (i.e., it does not take an object)..
